I just love South Kensington! Nkima, Jess and I wandered into this dreamy neighbourhood one spring morning and were rewarded with fresh air, gorgeous architecture and blossoms. Whenever I pass through South Kensington, I am reminded of why I love walking on beautiful streets – and therefore why I bother walking! My senses come alive and I see the beauty of quotidian life: no need for expensive treats or to even travel far (although travelling is always encouraged where possible) because we have it all on our doorstep. In light of recent events, I find now more than ever that it’s crucial to appreciate all the beauty you can see around you. To appreciate life in it’s most serendipitous form. That’s my tip for the day, and indeed, forever!

Another tip: When pounding the pedestrian pavement starts to feel like a stalking ritual of the residential areas, why not wander into the Brompton Food Market? It’s particularly great for interacting with happy, welcoming people – not to mention if you fancy a good coffee and indulgent pastry…
